An early green jobs advocate Nancy initiated ‘green jobs’ training at Berkeley's Youth Employment Services (YES). To ensure that the young adults trained at YES had a path to employment, Nancy established the Community Energy Services Corporation that provides energy efficiency services to small businesses and low income residents.

Nancy knows what it takes to harness the growing clean energy and clean tech sectors and keep 21st Century jobs in our state, like the advanced solar company Nancy helped bring to the old Ford plant in Richmond.

As California implements its global warming goals Nancy will ensure that California enacts a carbon fee to produce new revenues, promote clean energy and enhance our economy.
